We've created this blog to answer the "How's Lola doing?" question. She's overcome meningitis, encephalitis, a five-month hospital stay, endless tests, hours of physio/OT/speech, and still, she has a smile on her face. Currently, we're battling the seizure monster - some days we don't win. She's still fighting. She's taught us so much about strength, and resiliency, and about loving our children just a little bit more.

Up to her usual tricks...
Actually, she's got a few new tricks, and Liam's keeping a list. Yesterday, on our way home from the hospital (ivig day), Lola started singing in a low voice in the backseat. It was so cute. She's an alto apparently! The song was called "Dada" and it was definitely singing.
Tonight at supper, Liam got the hiccups, so Lola decided to imitate him - I caught a wee bit of it on video.
So we've been having more seizures lately, and Lola's having a rough go. sigh. We're hoping yesterday's ivig helps her out substantially. And in true Lola form, she's doing well despite the crummy seizures....really focusing well, and listening to what we have to say. She follows our instructions too, which is a big change.
